A DREAM COME TRUE...

A year and a half ago, we dreamt of a glamorous event where we could bring the best of South Africa’s wedding industry together, to recognise and celebrate their achievements. We wanted to create a prestigious evening filled with entertainment, fine-dining and the glitz and glamour similar to that of the Oscars for our wedding industry.

Looking back on our first gala evening, we feel blessed of what we have been able to achieve. It was a fantastic evening for guests to meet one another and build relationships. The gala ceremony took place on the 20th of August at Nooitgedacht Estate in Stellenbosch. On this momentous evening we crowned our winners and celebrated all our talented participants for the 2014 Awards year. This was the first of many more glamorous ceremonies to come!

A PICTURE PERFECT EVENING OF CELEBRATION!

With Nooitgedacht being a magnificent canvas, Something Different Concepts and Shows and El le Fleur Studio painted the perfect picture on the evening. From the stunning lighting features, chandeliers and ribbon pendants, to our gorgeous custom-made stage; Something Different most certainly took our breath away!

The very charming Hannes Loubser from Loubser Creative Consulting was our MC for the evening and we also had Nadia van der Mescht and Christine Meintjes as our guests speakers. We are honored that we had such inspirational and talented individuals at our event, all whom added a very special touch to the evening.

We were so excited to have the Bottomless Coffee Band play at our first awards ceremony! This talented duo consists of two multi-instrumentalists – Lourens and Esté Rabé – who produce a unique sound and performance.
