We are so honored to share this couple's story and beautiful wedding this week! Amy from The Venue Fontana gave us some more background on the couple and their wedding day. "When we look back at all the magical weddings here at ‘The Venue Fontana’, it is evident that they always start with magical people and this rings especially true to a couple that sits close to ‘The Venue Fontana’s’ heart, Nadine and Nicholas.
The moment Mara Fontana met the beautiful couple, she knew instantly that it was “love at first sight”. The three instantaneously connected and this is what inspired Mara to create the most beautiful event which will never be forgotten for years to come. When you look at Nadine and Nicholas, you can only grasp the true meaning of a close-nit family who share great love and respect. With the instant connection that Mara and Nadine had made, it was inevitable that Nadine would be adopted as one of her dearest brides .
Although her love for Nicholas was never in question, Nadine was initially quite apprehensive to the idea of getting married. Unfortunately her mother had passed on and, like most brides, she had always dreamt of having her mother by her side. Our goal for them was not only to have the most beautiful stress-free day ever but also to ensure that Nadine felt her mum by her side throughout the journey.
Nadine’s passion for life, love for people, and “down-to-earth” nature inspired Mara to look into the natural theme that we see throughout. Nadine particularly loved the green foliage & crisp white floral colour scheme, keeping in tune with the natural wispy elements, which
emphasized the simplicity but special chosen elements that she discussed with Mara. Pops of white orchids in memory of her mother’s favourite flower bloomed in a simple, yet elegant look that suits the simple yet elegant barn reception.
It was such a pleasure working with Nadine as she was always thankful and overjoyed by life and everything around her, which made her forever grateful for all the work that we had put into planning her special day. Nadine and Nicholas are both doctors residing in the Cape. They are currently essential frontline workers passionately serving their community to fight the Covid-19. We felt this was a perfect opportunity to honour them during these trying times working long hours as doctors, the very image of selfless love. There is no doubt that on the day we did not find one dry eye in the church as the beautiful couple said “I do” and the later found themselves driving away into the sunset to live their “happily ever after”."
