Johannesburg based couple Wiehan & Francis Victor wanted a wedding out of the ordinary and chose Sweetfontein not only because it's conveniently situated halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town but it is something totally different.
She had only one request for the design team and that was that she wanted no flowers and that the decor should reflect the environment and of course authentic Karoo Cuisine.
The reception hall was a visual feast with dramatic ceiling installations from the Karoo and the tables kept intentionally minimalistic with hundreds of pillared candles and custom designed napkins.
Wiehan (who is in the beverage industry) had just one wish, that the toast be proposed with Glenfiddich and that whisky be one of the highlights of the evening.
Thus unfolded one of the most memorable weddings Sweetfontein has ever had to date, staying true to the heart of the Karoo, where authenticity is the new luxury.
